The River Pool

About The River Pool

The River Pool is a rainbow colored circular floating pool with a netted bottom. It is securely installed in the Hudson River, located off the north shore of Pete and Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park, in Beacon, NY. Swimmers safely sit & float in The River Pool, to relax and cool off with an on-duty lifeguard.

Cost: Free
Reservations: None
Hours: Tuesday-Friday 12 Noon to 4pm;
Saturday and Sunday, 12 Noon to 6pm, July-Labor Day,
weather and lifeguard availability permitting.

Volunteers install the pool each June and take it out of the River in September. If you are interested in helping, click here!

The late Pete Seeger, noted American folk singer, and his wife Toshi, were social/environmental activists, and founding members of River Pool. They believed that River stewardship begins with being on, near, and in the river. Read more about Pete and Toshi Seeger, click here.
