The 7th annual River Pool benefit swim from Newburgh to Beacon across the Hudson River is scheduled for Saturday, July 31st. Check-in at the Newburgh waterfront is 8:30 – 10:30 for an 11:30 splash-off.
Swimmer registration for the 2010 Newburgh to Beacon Hudson River Swim is now closed. Do sign up below if you would like to add your name to the waiting list for swimmers. Kayakers may continue to register.
But please understand how we use our swimmer waiting list: If and when a registered swimmer removes his/her name from our list of swimmers, we will bring on names from the waiting list. We will then let that swimmer know of the change in status so that registration and sponsorship fees can be paid. This will be done well before the July 31st swim. We remain unable to accommodate walk-ups both on July 31st and on our raindate, August 1st.
Please also note our policy for kids under 18. We will require that all minors sign a waiver; that all minors have a parent or guardian sign a waiver; that all swimmers aged 13 – 17 present a certification of ability signed by a coach or athletic director; and that all swimmers aged 10 – 12 present a certification of ability signed by a coach or athletic director AND come to the swim with an adult swimmer escort. (If two repeat swimmers wish to use a single escort, they may be allowed to do so at the discretion of the registrar.)
Download the swim waiver for minors here.
Download the general swim waiver here.
We cannot register any swimmers under the age of 10.
Please click on the "Register Here" button (see below) to register.
The registration fee is $40 for adults, $25 for swimmers under 18. The fee is nonrefundable.
All swimmers also must raise a minimum of $100 in sponsorship fees. Sponsorship fees are also nonrefundable.
This year we have also provided a sample letter you can use to help raise sponsorship donations. Click here to access the letter. During registration, all swimmers will have the opportunity to set up their own donation pages where sponsors can make their contributions.

We will start at the Newburgh waterfront and finish at the Beacon waterfront.
Check-in is 8:30am – 10:30am on Saturday, July 31st.
